A place for real, raw and honest conversation

Hello

I imagine that you're here because you're struggling.

Welcome, really welcome.

You're in good company. Struggle, messiness and uncertainty are inherent to being human. Yet often we shame ourselves, believing it’s somehow not okay or acceptable to feel and be the way we are.

If we meet, you don’t need to be a certain way, or get anything ‘right’.

I’d just love to meet you as you are.

That’s what all us humans long for - to be met, accepted and loved just as we are.

Heart to heart, soul to soul.

It’s in relationships like this that healing begins.

Working with me

A woman leaning against a large tree in a sunlit forest, wearing a blue sweatshirt and smiling gently.

What matters most when deciding whether you want to work with me is how you feel in my company.

I would hope that counselling gives you a sense of clarity, peace and fulfillment and that you’re energised and enlivened by the work.

But you won’t always feel comfortable.

Counselling can be hard work and at times you might feel challenged, confronted or frustrated.

If we’re a good fit, you’ll feel safe to be yourself and speak your truth, knowing that I’ll meet you - whatever you’re feeling or thinking - with respect and care, and without judgement.

It’s a kind of chemistry. You'll get a gut feeling if it feels right.

Meet vicky

For me, everything you are experiencing, or have experienced, matters. Nothing is too much or too small, it’s all welcome and deserves a space to be heard.

I offer a free 30 minute video conversation where you can speak what’s on your mind and explore what you’d like from counselling.

It’s a space to be heard, without pressure, and to get a sense of whether it feels good to share yourself with me.  If you’d like this, you can book a time using the link below.

I’d love to hear from you

Who I work with

I have a special interest in working with people whose struggles are related to

  • Shame - a feeling that how you are, who you are or your life experience is somehow not acceptable or okay.

  • Grief - that may be related to an actual or imminent death, loss or a significant life change.

  • Neurodiversity

  • Parenting, pregnancy and motherhood

  • Anxiety and overwhelm

  • Chronic pain and illness

Shame and grief resonate with a number of people but if you don’t recognise yourself in any of the above, and you would like to work with me, get in touch. I will always tell you if I believe there is someone more qualified or suited to working with your needs.

How I work

  • I work online and in person (in Benenden, Kent)

  • Officially, I am an integrative transpersonal psychotherapeutic counsellor but I have a twenty year history in physiotherapy, yoga therapy, breathwork and health coaching. This means I take a holistic and integrative approach to counselling.

If you want to sit and talk, we’ll do just that. But if you’d rather, you can walk, move or stretch on a yoga mat. If talking feels difficult, I can support you to use breathwork, art, movement or images to give expression to what can’t be spoken.

We’ll always collaborate; I’ll offer ideas, and you can choose what feels right for you.

  • I offer both short-term and open-ended counselling.

    Fees

  • Sessions are 50 minutes and I offer a sliding scale of fees from £70.

  • A limited number of low cost counselling sessions (from £20 per 50min) are available for young people (aged 18-26) who have experienced the death of, or are facing the death of a parent, sibling or partner. Please get in touch for availability

As the sea withdraws, the shore emerges; raw, untamed and true.

No shame, no judgment. Just acceptance and reverence for what’s born beneath the blue.
